Team Coaching for Tech Professionals
Helping tech teams work better together - with more clarity, trust, and alignment.
Technology teams are built to solve complex problems. But the hardest challenges aren't always technical.
Miscommunication. Unspoken tensions. Competing priorities. Difficult conversations. Lack of clarity. Burnout. Changing roles. A team that looks productive on the outside, but doesn't quite feel connected on the inside.
This is where team coaching can help.
I work with tech teams to create the space to step back from the day-to-day, understand what is really happening within the team, and intentionally shape how you want to work together.
A team is more than the sum of its people
Every team has its own dynamics, patterns and ways of communicating.
Sometimes these patterns support the team. Sometimes they quietly get in the way.
My role as a team coach is not to come in with all the answers or tell your team how it should work.
Instead, I help the team explore what's happening beneath the surface, have the conversations that are difficult to have on your own, and find solutions that genuinely work for you.
We create space to ask questions like:
Are we truly aligned on what we're trying to achieve?
Can we openly challenge each other and still maintain trust?
Are we saying what we really think?
How do we handle disagreement and conflict?
Do people feel heard, valued and able to contribute?
What patterns are helping us and which ones are holding us back?
How do we want to work together as a team?
What we can work on
Every team is different, so coaching is tailored to what you need.
Depending on your situation, we might work on:
Team alignment — creating clarity around goals, priorities, roles and expectations
Communication — developing more open, direct and effective communication
Trust & psychological safety — creating an environment where people can speak honestly and challenge ideas
Conflict — learning to navigate tension and disagreement constructively
Team dynamics — recognising patterns that influence how the team works together
Self-awareness — understanding how individual behaviours and perspectives affect the wider team
Leadership & ownership — creating greater responsibility and autonomy within the team
Sustainable performance — finding ways to perform well without relying on constant pressure
Change & uncertainty — supporting teams through growth, restructuring, new leadership or shifting priorities
Team culture — intentionally defining the kind of team you want to be
My approach
I bring a coaching approach that is curious, human and practical.
I don't believe that every team needs another framework, workshop or set of corporate buzzwords.
Sometimes what a team needs most is a safe and structured space to slow down, become more aware of what's happening, and have an honest conversation.
I'll challenge when it's useful, ask the questions that might otherwise remain unspoken, and help the team turn insight into action.
The goal isn't to create a “perfect” team.
It's to help you become a team that can communicate, adapt, disagree, learn and move forward together.
For tech teams that want to work differently
This work can be particularly valuable for teams experiencing:
Growth
As teams grow, the ways of working that once felt natural can stop working.
Change
New leadership, reorganisations, shifting responsibilities or new ways of working can create uncertainty and tension.
Conflict
When disagreements remain unresolved, they can slowly erode trust and collaboration.
Disconnection
Remote and distributed teams can be highly functional while still feeling disconnected from one another.
Pressure
High-performing teams can easily fall into cycles of overwork, urgency and unsustainable expectations.
A new beginning
Sometimes the team simply wants to pause, reflect and intentionally decide how they want to work together.
What success looks like
The outcome isn't simply a team that has had a productive coaching session.
It's a team that leaves with a deeper understanding of itself.
A team where people:
know what they're working toward
understand their roles and each other better
communicate more openly
feel more comfortable raising concerns
navigate disagreement more constructively
take greater ownership
recognise unhelpful patterns sooner
and can have the conversations that matter
Better teams aren't created by avoiding difficult conversations.
They're created by learning how to have them.
Let's explore what's happening in your team
If your team is going through change, experiencing growing pains, struggling with communication, or simply wants to become more intentional about how you work together, let's talk.
We can start with a conversation about where your team is today, what you're experiencing, and what you'd like to be different.
